BOX 224 ¥ VANDALIA OH 45377 ¥ Telephone 937-898-5351 PLEASE READ CAREFULLY * * * * * *REFER TO MAP ON BACK Parade assembly and check-in will begin at 5:00 P.M., FRIDAY, JULY 16th. All units must be in place no later than 6:30 p.m. The Parade will begin at 6:55P.M. Parking for parade participants will be provided in the INTEVA/DELPHI parking lot. This lot can be accessed via a gate on Northwoods Blvd. at Engle Road. A bus shuttle service will take you to the parade staging area, where Parade Staffers (wearing yellow parade shirts) will assist you in finding your parade unit or position in the staging area. The parade will end back at this location close to where you have parked your vehicles. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE CHECK-IN AREA. THE ONLY VEHICLES PERMITTED IN CHECK-IN AREA ARE THOSE ACTUALLY BEING DRIVEN IN THE PARADE. PARADE PERMIT PASSES ARE ENCLOSED FOR THOSE VEHICLES. ALL UNITS IN THE PARADE MUST REPORT TO THE CHECK-IN STATION AT THE CORNER OF MAPLE STREET AND JAMES BOHANAN DRIVE FOR THEIR PARADE LINE-UP ASSIGNMENT. BAND BUSES may unload and then park in the INTEVA/DELPHI parking lot where the parade will end. Please make a copy of this map for your bus driver. THERE WILL BE NO DISTRIBUTION OF BALLOONS, CANDY, OR ANY FORM OF ADVERTISING FROM ANYONE RIDING IN PARADE UNITS. Walkers in the parade may distribute items to people along the curbs and sidewalks. This will discourage children from running out onto the parade route. Displaying, attaching or carrying any advertising materials that do not pertain to your own business will not be allowed. Parade marshals are there to insure a smooth, safe and enjoyable parade. However, they have full authority to disqualify or dismiss any entries which do not comply with the parade rules. All units are reminded to please keep the parade moving forward at all times and do not allow large gaps to form in the flow of the parade. NEW IN 2010: Motorized units will proceed north on Dixie Drive to Northwoods Blvd., make the turn and return to the parade participant parking area. Walkers will be directed to go onto Inverness Drive, walk down to Marview, and turn left into the parking area. Please make sure the adults walking with childrenÕs groups are aware of this information. Otherwise, they will be walking an extra ? mile.
